Definition of family

My family may be a jigsaw puzzle made up of pieces that don’t seem to fit. But God in His sovereignty, sees all of us, and our brokenness. He has laid us out on the table of life, has arranged our shattered pieces, and brought us all together, making us into a beautiful collage.

Just as I am…

Do you realize that our value is fixed? God’s love doesn’t change with the economy, or the market, or even with time itself. Unlike the cars at the auction yesterday, our value with God is fixed and He loves us more than our broken hearts and minds can even understand.

Extra Credit
When I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, I was not given a page of extra credit assignments. The gospel isn’t Christ+Me=Salvation. Jesus paid for all my sins, and I can add nothing towards the payment of that ransom!

The difference between fear and faith…

We do not need to be weighed down by the burdens, worries, and sorrows, of this world. God does not intend for our hearts to be focused on the darkness that surrounds us. We are to be focused on the promise of what is to come.

Bruised Reed…

How many of us have bruises and wounds on our souls? Depression, anxiety, fear, pain… Jesus doesn’t see our infirmities and toss us aside as useless. He came to heal us! He says to our hearts, open yourself to my love and I will restore you. He didn’t come to break us further, to snuff…
